About Me

My name is Revital Heller and I live in Brooklyn, New York. I am a graduate student at Columbia University's Teachers College, where I am finishing up a masters degree in Comparative and International Education. In addition to my studies I am involved in early childhood education advocacy and policy work in New York City.

I consider myself a lifelong teacher as well as a lifelong learnerI am inspired by the gifted teachers I have known, the brilliant children I have met, and the magic of classrooms. I believe that the voices of teachers are often silenced in education discourses, and that teachers must come together to advocate for the rights of children and the craft of teaching. I think it is time we look abroad for fresh ideas and develop stronger scholarship around comparative pedagogy.

This blog serves as a meeting point and collaboration tool for collecting and organizing work on my current project - One World, Many Teachers: A Classroom Resource for Primary Teachers.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
